Make A Camping Stove From A Soda Can

What if your country has been invaded by communists and you have to flee into the wilds?

Or a more likely scenario - your city is hit by a natural disaster and utilities are cut off for a few days.

Or, even more likely, you're just looking for a cheap, lightweight camping stove.

If you are a backpacker you might already be familiar with the Soda Can Stove. It's lightweight, cheap, and simple to make.

There are several different designs to choose from.

You can make your burner holes with a push pin instead of a drill. You will need to experiment a little bit, and will probably go through a few cans before you get it right.

With a few hours practice, you will have the basic skill down, and you'll be ready for natural disasters, communist invasion, or a couple nights in the woods.
